Mother’s love at its best!
May 12th
I woke up late last Saturday from staying up late with a few friends, waiting for a clear full moon to re-energize a few crystals. Yeah, I have a spacecraft parked at my back yard, going to fly off to Mars after my sister’s wedding end of this month. It’s getting dustier so I thought I take it for a spin.
*krik* *krik* *krik* *krik*
But seriously, we did go out to re-energize some crystals. As soon as I woke up, my mom gave two bottles of Bleu mineral water. I was really puzzled by this. Asked mom what’s it’s for? Read the rest of this entry »
Perfect day to cycle
Dec 28th
Clear sky, perfect for cycling. Is it? Kinabalu Cycling Challenge 2008, which I mentioned on my previous post, was held on 14th December 2008 at 1Borneo. I think there was about more than 100 participants in three categories; Open, Junior A and Junior B. A few ladies participated the race and they were in Junior B. I would have joined the race to if my friend Harol had informed me earlier, not to win it but to test my own limit. Of course I have to use my only full suspension bike, its way heavier that those other rigid bike. I wonder when I’m going to start to “re-equip” my old rigid MTB bike. I still love my old Chrome MTB, which I bought when I was in UTM. Anyway, the race covers 86 KM, starting from 1Borneo to Serusup then back again. So that day I was the on the spot Race Official (just grab the official T-Shirt which was free) and took a ride on Harol’s Hilux, and take as much photo as I can. I must say, I was a bit glad I didn’t join the race, from the looks of it, it was damn hard man! Even Harol manage to ride until 43 KM before he surrender. Luckly we were there to pick him up and rode back to 1Borneo. There’s just one casualty, near Salut roundabout. The cyclist was drafting when the one in front of them suddenly stopped which cause the cyclist at the back collided with the first cyclist and fell tumbling down. I tell you, if you’re using a clip pedal and you’re involved in an accident, you better have the wits to quickly release your pedal and escape. Otherwise you’ll be tumbling down together with you bike. It’s not serious though, just a few scratch and a sprained ankle. Even if you didn’t win the race, everyone went back with a lucky draw prize, more that a hundred prizes. Maybe I’ll try to participate next year, if there is a next year.
Happy Birthday Nex!!!
Nov 12th
Gawd, I gave my bike a name!!! Its already one year since I’ve started mountain biking. And its exactly one year this coming Thursday since I bought my Nexus Pro Freelance bike and I have been riding with it ever since. My current bike is an XC Full Suspension type; XC being Cross Country, the lightest among four type of mountain bike. Yes ladies and gentlemen, there are four types. I only knew this last year, when I started mountain biking.
A year ago, it looked something like this.
Last Sunday
Nov 4th
Last Sunday, as usual, went up to SMK Majakir for my weekly silat class for the students there. But this particular Sunday, we are not having our regular class. Instead, we’re having a small party, an end of year silat training class party. The Silat Club Counsellor teacher which is also the school Penolong Kanan was giving his student a gimps of what was planned for next year club activities and hoped that everyone who was there will give support to the club. These are some of the photos I’ve taken.
Beyond that cute smile lies a brave warrior. I’m not kidding! They can really defend themselves.
