Stung by Jellybug but it was worth it
Feb 22nd
Six complete stranger from different background; well there were two siblings but to me everyone is a complete stranger, came together for one goal, to obtain PADI Open Sea Diving certification, and I’m one of them. Yes you heard me, I enroll myself to take that license. Oh my gawd, it is surreal to me, I’m taking PADI Diving License. It took us three days to complete the course and get our license. So I have covered the land and the sea, now new goal, to the air. HAH!
Out of breath at Karambunai
Oct 4th
I was late for Mountain Bike Hash this morning. When I reached Inanam, everybody was gone except for their car. Well that didn’t damper my eagerness to cycle. It has been quite some time since I last cycle over at Salut. To be honest, I have been thinking about it for weeks now. So I set off to Salut, parked my car near the coconut stall and start riding.
Unlike my usual ride, this time I ride alone. I must be nuts because I forgot to pack my portable tool, in case I have a puncture. But I did bring a spare tube. It’s a good thing that I went alone. I can explore route that I myself have never venture into. Instead of following the normal route, I venture off to another route, trying to find out what I might find. Yeah sure we have Google Earth and Wikimapia for that but where’s the fun of venturing into the unknown? This is my version of self adventure, besides; I have the whole day to myself.

Tiger show is looking hot!
Mar 22nd
It was Monday and it’s a public holiday. I woke up late so there goes my Tenom plan. I forgot t o set my alarm at 6, I was very confident that I could wake up at 6. I always do! Anyway, I don’t want to waste my day so I changed my plan. I did mentioned that I want to visit again Lok Kawi Wildlife Park on my previous post so here I am with my camera ready to shoot. People, before you go out, please make sure you have fully charged you battery; I was lucky enough that my battery didn’t died out on me while I was there. I was running low by the time I reach the Botanical Information Centre. I was there at 10:30 am and hoping that some of the resident are wide awake and active.
No frill experience
Jan 16th
It happened a few years back, I think it was 2005. I was going for a trip to Kuala Lumpur taking Air Asia. Mind you, although at that time Air Asia had long started their “No Frills” campaign, this was my first time boarding their aircraft, namely Boeing 737-200. All this while I only heard what everybody said about their seating arrangement, their complaint and what not, plus I got inside information, thanks to my Air Asia ex-girlfriend. You don’t want to know the detail. It has been long forgotten. All this while I have only been inside Malaysia Airlines, for business and pleasure.
So here I am, queuing up at the check-in counter, went inside to the departure hall, hopping so much that I don’t bump into my ex. Yeah, even though I was with Erlinna at that time, I still hate her. That was back then, we are still friend now, even had lunch together last year. Anyway, they say its free seating, so I didn’t really bother myself to queue in front of the line. What’s important is that I can sleep during the entire duration of the flight. Boarding their aircraft, I was among the last few who boarded last. I saw there’s an empty seat front row on the right side next to the isle. On the left was a family taking up 2 row of seat.
2008 Christmas Gift Exchange
Dec 20th
Finally, the waiting is over. The anxiety to know what you’ll be getting, what the others will be getting, seeing those happy and surprised (or that “What is that? Never mind, just keep smiling.”) faces is here. Unfortunately my anxiety was dampen by a Notice of Meeting from Forestry Department. They wanted to know which part of their land that was in the proposed new road project.
Woke up at about 5 in the morning because I need to pick up the Environmental Engineer at about 6 a.m. before driving up to Ranau. I would have probably stopped by somewhere near Tamparuli but I would have to settle with taking picture while driving.
