Food and Drink
Sushi Etiquette

I totally didn’t know about this. I normally mixed the Wasabi with the soy sauce and dip the rice portion. Thanks to Edham Arief for pointing this out.
Japanese Tempe
Nov 25th
The other day a friend was asking where she could find Natto in KK. At first I thought it was a drink, just because she said it’s a fermented Soya Bean. I got more puzzled when she said that it’s a food and showed me a link on YouTube on how to eat it. I certainly think it looked like Tempe, only that it’s not “fused” together and it has slime due to the fermenting process. Because I’m a curious cat, I went out and bought it.
This is how they sell it, a pack of three, there’s a bigger packet but I bought a smaller one because I don’t want to waste it if in the event that I don’t really like it. You can get this at Tong Hing near HSBC bank.
Jungle in the city
Dec 11th
I found a new eating place on Sunday somewhere at Alam Mesra. I was on my way to a friend’s house at Taman Bukit Sepanggar and stop by there because it was still early. I was supposed to be at his house at about 5 pm and its still 4pm, plus I’m hungry.
Cruising around Alam Mesra shop lot, I found this place called The Jungle In The City Restaurant. It has a nice soothing natural decoration so I thought to myself, maybe I check out this place.
The interior wall was covered with plastic bamboo, giving it the all natural look. It’s something different from the other eating place I have been to.
Bakso with a sprinkle of rain part deux
Oct 23rd
Its 5:30 pm and its time to go home. No, I didn’t stay late because of the traffic jam. I finished work at 5:30 pm We have change our working hour; majority of my colleague, myself included, hate going to work on Saturday, so the management have change our working hour. We start work at 8:15 am and finished at 5:30 pm. Shut down both desktop and laptop, drank the last of my Nescafe and just placed my mug in the pantry sink, pack my laptop, switch off all the aircond and lights, went straight to my car. “Its still early,” I thought to myself, “and I am a little bit hungry, but where to eat?”. I thought of Salim’s, Mamak food again? Kak Nong? I look out from my car looking at the long car queuing up at the U-turn junction, nah… Jammed over here, surely jammed at Luyang junction, and then have to go through Jalan Bundusan. I’ll pass. What about Taliban? I don’t want to go to Inanam. Bakso? Uuuhh… haven’t been eating Bakso at Segama for quite a while now. So I decided to go to Segama. Wouldn’t it be jammed also you asked? Not if you use the back road.
